I finally came around to completing the Health and safety document. It took longer to get finished than I want to admit, but that just comes down to me getting distracted by other documents to fill out and talk about.
The health and safety document basically explains who is responsible for what job as part of health and safety regulations. So far, I have only planned to film in college, so as for the first aid kits I will have to ask a member of staff where they are before start filming. I could also find out who is trained in first aid at college so that if an accident does happen, I know who to go to.
I believe this is a valid health and safety document because I have listed those responsible and what actions should take place to prevent/maintain rules and regulations.
Health and safety is very important during filming or any other time. It keeps people safe, and if an accident does happen, we know who to go to or where to look to help whoever is injured.
So far out of all the projects I have made, there has been no injuries or accidents. I always need to make sure that I complete this task as its proof I’m able to identify risks and precautions in a filming environment. If I don’t do this before each project, then it shows that I haven’t considered health and safety at all and it could land me in serious trouble. Now that this has been completed, I am hoping to make a start on a story line for the video.
