I’ve always struggled to find people willing to be in my videos because I’m very introverted, so it’s a challenge for me to ask friends to help me out. In the past I have asked my brother and step-sister to help me out in most of my projects and luckily, they agreed to do them. However, this year my brother has moved to Leeds for university and my step-sister normally has a quite busy schedule.
Initially I did ask one of my friends to help me out, but unfortunately, she is away on holiday during the period of filming I’ve booked the studio for. She is available for the practise shoot on Tuesday, so I’m thankful that she is doing that for me.
I asked my boyfriend if he could be the second actor in the video. Luckily, he finishes university for the year a week before I’m due to start filming, so he agreed to be a part of my project. In secondary school he used to do drama after school, so he has some knowledge of acting. He also knows how to operate a camera and knows a lot about media in general, so I’m glad that he’s able to help me out on this.
The third person I asked to be feature in my video was my step-sister. I had asked all my friends and they politely said no, so she was my last hope of finding someone that I knew.

Thankfully she said that she was available on both dates which really surprised me but I’m grateful that she’s willing to help me out once more. I’m planning on having daisy walks around Ioan in the confession scenes as a ghostly figure, but I’m not too sure about this idea just yet.
I’m surprised at how easy it was to find two people willing to be in my video, considering it involves a serious topic. I’m hoping that Daisy and Ioan can work well together, they’re not that familiar with each other but I’m really hoping they can work together and make the video feel believable.
I’m planning on seeing Ioan this weekend so I’ll make sure that he signs both the actor consent form and interview form. I think Daisy might be a bit too busy to meet, so I will make sure that I remember to let her sign the forms before/after filming.
